This policy explains the cookies and browser storage MicroBiz by VES ("we", "us") uses, and the third-party requests your browser makes when you load our pages. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
microbiz-by-ves-session |
Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and protects your session (e.g. CSRF protection). The Service cannot function without it. | Session / until logout |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Strictly necessary | Security token used to protect form submissions from cross-site request forgery. | Session |
Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to work — they are not used for advertising, analytics, or tracking you across other websites — Philippine and international best practice does not require us to ask for your consent to set them, only to disclose them, which this page does.
We also store a small amount of data directly in your browser's localStorage, which — unlike
cookies — is never sent to our servers. It only controls what you see on screen:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
mbTheme | Remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode. |
nav_<section> | Remembers which sidebar sections you've expanded or collapsed in the dashboard. |
Some parts of the Service load resources directly from third-party providers. When your browser does this, the provider can see your IP address and basic request information (this is how the web works), even though we do not send them your MicroBiz account data. These are not tracking or advertising services — they serve static fonts, icons, code libraries, or map images:
| Provider | What it's used for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Web fonts (DM Sans, Plus Jakarta Sans) | All pages |
| jsDelivr (CDN) | Bootstrap, Bootstrap Icons, Chart.js, SweetAlert2, FullCalendar | Site-wide / dashboard pages |
| unpkg (CDN) | Leaflet mapping library | Community map feature only |
| OpenStreetMap | Map tile images | Community map feature only |
If you'd rather not have your browser contact these providers, using the Service's Community/map feature is optional; the rest of the app's CDN-hosted assets (fonts, icons, and code libraries) are required for the pages to render and function correctly.
If you choose to link your Telegram account (Settings → Notifications), we send notification messages to you through the Telegram Bot API. This only happens if you opt in, and you can unlink your Telegram account at any time from the same settings page. Telegram's own privacy practices apply to how it handles messages once sent through its platform.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any similar analytics or advertising tracking technology. We do not build advertising profiles from your activity on MicroBiz. If we ever decide to add such tools, we will update this Cookie Policy first and, where legally required, implement a cookie-consent banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential tracking before it runs.
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser's settings. Doing so will simply log you out and reset your theme/sidebar preferences to default — it will not delete your MicroBiz account or business data, which lives on our servers, not in your browser.
We may update this policy as the Service evolves — for example, if we introduce analytics or new third-party integrations. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective date" above.
